Blackwood's Woman (The Protectors, #6) is a good story and an entertaining enough read. I can't help but think that it could have been so much better. At times, the dialogue between the hero and heroine just didn't ring true. J.T.'s character seemed two-dimensional (alternating between angry/defensive and lust-filled for the majority of the book). There seemed to be an agenda to demonstrate a lack of racism on the part of the heroine with her (somewhat arrogant) insistence that the hero must "co [...]

Despite the dated book cover, this was a pretty good read; Joanna proved to be quite the strong heroine and the story well written and involved.
