A delicious murder mystery, very entertaining, the storyline was a mixture of different flavors, giving it a distinctive taste. It is absolutely lovely with a afternoon cup of tea. The friendship demonstrated in this book is lovely and very moving, there were even pieces of romance. This tale was a very sweet, cozy and quaint read. After her failed relationship with the present police chief, Annie appears to be taking her time with her next relationship, which is just the thing to do and with he [...]

Not cozy, just cornyCorny doesn't even cover it! Really, Detective Crank that they nicknamed Cranky Forced plot twists that are glaringly obviousCozy needn't mean juvenile but sadly, this is. I was very disappointed

Good readA very well written new to me cozy mystery. The characters were strong but I needed a bit more color to the personalities. The plot was strong and made an interesting story.

2.5 starsIt isn't bad, but the ending is abrupt and it's solved-by-criminal without sufficient clues. More polish wouldn't hurt either. .

Jason (Annie's boyfriend) suggests it is just opening night nerves (as her last opening [...]

The new detective in town doesn't like Annie for some reason and thinks Annie is hiding something. Annie's friend, Martha, is in the final days leading up to her wedding and keeps changing her mind about whether the we [...]

Astounding. This mystery kept me following the twists and turns of the character of Annie and assorted cast of people in the book. I have a feeling we will see them in the next installment in this series.
