Not as good as the other novella. This one really felt roughly-written and unfinished: like a chapter excerpt from the upcoming "Catacomb" rather than a freestanding story.

I liked the story, but it made me feel like it was a totally different character than the Micah from Sanctum. I felt bad for Micah in sanctum, and he was a likable character. This Micah was just a dipshit who only cared about himself.

POSIBLES SPOILERS.

I'm going to be blunt. Apart from the grave robbing, everything else is boring. I'm guessing this is a setup for the third book, Catacomb. We got Oliver, who will make an appearance in Catacomb and Micah, who we knew from the second book. One good thing about this series, the cover is wicked brilliant. The plot is not far off the cover. So, there is some creepy factor there. Not like that one picture illustrated book with creepy cover but turn out to be time loop fantasy story instead.Next stopCa [...]

"Sometimes it’s hard to just accept that the world isn’t fair, that it’s a screwed-up place."I actually don't remember about Oliver until I've reached the last few chapters of the book. Then I became sad knowing the history of Oliver and Sabrina and what they have gone through with the Bone Artists. But this doesn't help that much in the series to think that the Bone Artists were crueler in the later part of the story. Read it anyway.

+“Ain’t nothing wrong with having a healthy fear of what you don’t understand.”-Oliver ☠ +I'll be honest with this story, I didn't like it. Yes, its short, I anticipated with the awesome cover. It was all a lie. After thinking over and over how cool this book would be.+meh!+It means nothing. Short & only thought provocative words.+Micah is an asshole. Yes. Oliver is dumb. What else?! The story will just give you headaches, too many holes. To be honest, the three “NOVELLAS” shou [...]

Another short story whose main purpose is setting up characters for the next book. There really wasn't a reason for this to be a story set off by itself. It would have worked better as flash backs in the next book of the series, placed strategically to enhance the story being told there. This short story also suffers from the same thing Scarlet suffered from. Giving glimpses of a major organization without explaining anything significant about it, and introducing characters you won't ever see ag [...]

3.5 stars. Although I enjoyed this novella I don't feel I enjoyed it as much as the first 2 books or first novella. This one felt like it lacked the complexity of the rest. Still good, but not quite up to par in my opinion.

In this book we meet Oliver, a boy who is about to enter college, and Micah (he appears in Sanctum but I didn't want to spoil you anything). To raise some money for the university, Micah offers Oliver a "part-time job", as they called like that to make it look less illegal. What they started as a few looting, end up worse when the Harpy, their employer and the only person they know connected with the bone artists, demands more difficult and morbid tasks. Although payment was increasing, Oliver b [...]

Igual tampoco me gustó. Meh

Wow, just wow! With this novella, it is safe to say, "and the plot thickens". I have to finish this series because it's been great. But at the same time, once I finish it, there's no more Asylum for me * insert extremely sad face*.

I loved it! Damn it, I LOVED it! It was dark and creepy and spooky and I got to know more about Micah Seriously, I wanted more of Micah after the second book and I got some (and I still want more). And, man, that ending was amazing! I didn't see that coming and I loved it!

It was ok I guess. Didn't really see how it improves the story of the books and found it to be a bit unnecessary BUT it was fun to read and I guess it must be a great expansion for the die-hard fans of the series.Very quick read so can't complain :)

i enjoyed seeing the back story of these characters and seeing the congressman's wife, as she was mentioned in Catacomb. she really was as evil as he says. and little did Dan know, the memories the congressman was thinking of were actually related back to Micah! interesting turn of events.

When I started reading this novella I didn’t realize that it was part of a series, but I’m all in after this. The author fit so much into such a short book. I look forward to seeing what they do with full length stories.

So I really this middle stories added aside from Dan Abby n Jordan. However with The Bone Artist I now wish I knew more about Oliver's ending. I understand this was made for Micahs story but left me wondering about Oliver.
