3 stars because it was really too short for anything else. (Kind of like this review.) To make it worth your while to read these few lines, here's a quote from the story:"I'll save you!" the father and son cried in unison. Then, as had been Huntsman tradition for hundreds of years, they inacted the Huntsman-To-The-Rescue Move. With shoulders back, chests out, they tore off their shirts, showing that nothing--not even a shirt--could get between them and Saving the Day. The two Huntsmen held the p [...]

Is the author vegetarian? Cause it seems that all the characters are !I liked how she connected Hunter's story to Ashlynn's.Didn't like the part describing the "hunter father-son mode".The author left blanks and question marks about what happened to both: the man crying for help and the wolf

Hunter Huntsman's Story Ever After High 0.6PLOT: Hunter Huntsman’s Story follows a day in the woods with the Hunter’s son (from Snow White and Red Riding Hood). Someone in the forest keeps opening the traps and setting the animal's free. It's a mystery to the Hunter. Little does he know it's his son (Hunter). While in the forest with his Dad investigating Hunter comes across a girl while making a birdhouse. I wonder who this animal, nature, loving girl could be THOUGHTS:I like Hunter’s cha [...]

I like that it showed this side of Hunter. I don't see it much in the videos so I'm glad I was able to see it here. There were butterflies in my stomach when Ashlyn and Hunter "met" for the first time

Series Summary: Totally didn't like the idea and wonder why I chose these books again. Being a fan of fairytales I was looking forward to see what kind of twist but this is going to be one series that I am truly going to stay away from. The children were snobby and the people no matter the age were mentally damaged. I mean who has ever suffered in life would hope their children would willing suffer the same fate just to be happily ever after? So wrong in so many accounts. And the modern touch wa [...]

A few of my nieces are Monster High and Ever After High mad at the moment and so when I spotted that there was a range of free short e-book stories available I thought I would give them a quick read to see what some of the fuss is about and to be honest I absolutely love both series' dolls too and I am hoping they are still popular and about when my daughter gets to 5/6+.This short story (Hunter Huntsman's story who is the son of the hunter from Snow White and Little Red Riding Hood) is very sho [...]

This short story is an edition to the Ever After High series. Since this was a free download I really didn’t mind its brevity. I think that all these little stories are fun and insightful. Hunter Huntsman isn’t really a character that we get a lot of information on in the first book so having this little blurb about him, his life, and how he views his destiny as a hunter is nice. I do find it interesting how Hunter is a vegetarian and introduces that as something that he worries his parents [...]

This teaser story seems to be totally zoned in to being politically correct. The hunter is a vegan which seems to be all the rage. How can he call himself a huntsman if he doesn't hunt (unless the carrots are revolting.) Further, he on purpose sabotages all the work his father does by releasing the trapped animals (another politically correct activity. Is this to be an entertaining series, or one preaching certain approaches that are considered politically correct? Also, he's constantly deceiving [...]

This story kept me in a big grin the entire time. When we were watching the show we were trying to figure out which huntsman that he came from. Turns out his father is both the huntsman in the story of Snow White and in the story of Red Riding Hood. Although his father is known for good deeds, Hunter is not sure that he can follow in his footsteps. Hunter does not like to kill animals and even releases them from his father's traps.Since I had read Ashlynn Ella's book first I was very happy to fi [...]

I find it amusing that, in spite of all the princes available from the fairy tales, the only drabble featuring a male is about the son of the Hunstman from "Snow White" and "Little Red Riding Hood." I also legitimately laughed so hard it hurt when I read this: " they enacted the Hunstman-To-the-Rescue Move. With shoulders back, chests out, they tore off their shirts, showing that nothing - not even a shirt - could get between them and Saving the Day." Yes, in order to "save the day" a Huntsman m [...]

This one is definitely my favorite prequel so far.Great set up and connection to the other stories.I think this one has the best conflict with Hunter's character versus what is expected of him. The whole vegetarianism was an interesting concept. This is also the most humorous story. I really enjoyed the various Huntsman moves such as the Huntsman-To-The-Rescue move, which includes ripping open one's shirt to prove that "nothing- not even a shirt- could get between them and Saving the Day."Well-wr [...]

Hunter Huntsman, the son of the Huntsman who saved Snow White and Red Riding Hood, does not want to harm animals, but help them. He has many doubts about following his destiny to become the next hunter in the fairy tales. One day he hears a bird calling for help and races to the rescue, happening upon Ashlynn Ella, but not speaking to her. He makes a home for the bird and her family and begins to daydream about what could happen if he were able to live out his own destiny with a woman who loved [...]

This was offered for free from iBooks. It's a fun, very quick read (it probably took me ten minutes to read at the most), but it's enjoyable. It makes you want to see more from these characters, which is probably the point of them being offered for free. Intended for a pretty young audience, but still something fun for an adult to read quickly. Hunter was a fun and funny character! I loved his snarky/sarcastic thought process. I burst out laughing at some of the shirtless monologue.

Without any doubt this was my favorite story from Ever After High by Shannon Hale. In the books and the websoides I could never have guessed that Hunter was vegetarian, although I could clearly see his love for animals. I loved the fact that he had to strike a pose whenever he rescued someone and I imagined his father as a lumberjack as well as his mother. He is kind and tender with his sister, but I have no idea where lumberjane came from. He is skilled and has a big heart. I loved him!

Outside of the webisodes, I honestly hadnt known much about Hunterd in the Book of Legends novel he was mostly just slightly mentioned when the plot called for it, he's actually a pretty cool guy though. I'm honestly kind of curious about how his and Ashlynn's relationship played out, I mean now I/we have how they first saw each other (sorta) but I mean how about after that? How did we get from point A to point B?Who knows. Cute short story though.

As the only story about a fairy tale male, I expected to like this book more than I did. I feel its unnecessarily because it is just a retelling of Ashlynn Ella's story and the little romance they touch on in the book is already something that you know from the webisodes online and the Ever After High novel. As a book trailer/preview, I might have liked it better but I read it out of order. I don't even know if I'd say its worth reading if you've already read the novel or seen the episodes.

I feel like this novella gave a great look into the Huntsman not fitting into his designed legacy role to a t. He's vegan, he won't hunt animals- he sees them free and helps them, and he wants to date. His legacy role is huge and spans more than one fairytale but I can't help but feel sorry that he will pretty much end up "forever alone". This was the best written novel yet and it flowed well but it was too short, I still wanted more.

Hunter is the son of the Huntsman that saved Snow White. He is suppose to be a manly man, but Hunter has a kind heart and friendly spirit. He believes in helping animals over killing them. It was nice to have a boy character thrown into the mix. The short story itself didn't elaborate on much. It created his character just like I predicted. Although, I think it will add depth to the story having his perspective.

I really enjoyed this one. I loved the fact the we finally had a male main character and when I first starting reading all I could think was "he's the one who made the bird house in the woods, in Ashlyyn Ella's story". I hope that something goes wrong with their legacy years where they don't follow in the footsteps of their fairytale parents (I'm sure that's where then story goes) and I hope that hunter and Ashlyyn get to be together.

I enjoyed this 'introduction' quite a lot, mainly because it's not a character that I'd really think about when I think of fairy tales. An interesting insight and quite amusing. I think some of the ideas are very relatable for the target audience; hiding what you really are from your parents expectations. A good introduction and the least shallow of the e-book introductions to the series.

Ahhhh! Apologize in advance for the fangirling, but seriously, what else is a teenage girl supposed to do when faced with this level of cuteness? These shorts are wonderful! They all are, they take only a second to read, and leave you excited to read the books they support. (And the theme song joke? Brilliant.)
