Welcome to the beautiful island of Lipari! This book is like taking a vacation to a beautiful Italian city. I could feel myself walking the streets, the light breeze and the Italian atmosphere. I wanna go there now!I am a sucker for fake engagements. It is one of my fav plot devices. And adding it to a gorgeous location just can't make a bad book. And adding the opposites attract to the mix! Wow! But I wasn't completely hooked from page one. It is sweet and breezy! And a bit sexy The Indulgence [...]

I hate writing these type of reviews, and I think I'll once again be in the minority with my review here, but I just didn't enjoy this one.I am stingy with 4 and 5 star reviews. Even my 3 stars at times. Now don't be judgy hereI had a tough time rating this one, but if I had to, I'd go with 2.5 "it was ALMOST good" stars.Maybe part of my dislike of this book came from reading it immediately after I finishedThe Marriage Merger and The Marriage Mistake and I was at my capacity for the "Marriage ar [...]

Ladies, meet Tomas Richards. He's the kind of man your mother would love you to hook up with. Sensible? Certainly. Financially sound? He's a bursar, for Heaven's sake, the man is an accountant. Get your hands on this guy, you're set up for life .Just the kind of man you want to bank on for a secure and stable future. Well, that's what Dr. Melissa McIntyre thought when she got engaged to this man. Then she ups and throws him aside and jumps headlong into a sexy and passionate relationship with To [...]

Don't miss out on this when it's released! This story had the same easy-to-read, fun style as 'Holiday Affair' and I really enjoyed it.The opening was intriguing, with a rushed flight across the world and a desperate situation. Brianna was a disorganised, independent woman with a hole in her past that drove her towards the future. I immediately liked her 'glass is half full' attitude and identified with her. Tom on the other hand was an uptight suit who just might let loose given the right exotic [...]

Brianna Ballantyne had barely arrived in Australia when the letter from Italy finally caught up with her. She had until the end of the week to meet the lawyer on Lipari Island – with her fiance – and claim her inheritance. Only one little problem? The disorganized sex-therapist-slash-writer has misplaced the letter, doesn't know where the lawyer can be found, and doesn't even have a boyfriend.Okay, more than one little problem.Tomas Richard, hyper-organized financier, has closed his business [...]

I’ll tell you, people, after reading this wonderful book, I felt like taking a holiday to Lipari Island. Oh my, it sounds just wonderful. Annie Seaton has such a marvellous and vivid way of describing the characters and the location, you feel as if you are right there on the journey with them.In this, the second of the Affair series, we revisit the Richards brothers – this time, it’s Tomas. He’s the straight-laced finance guy, a planner to the core, a lover of lists. He makes a break fro [...]

It’s years since I’ve read any romantic fiction. Years. ‘Italian Affair’ might just be the book to get me into the genre again. It was like bumping into an old friend I hadn’t seen for ages. There was the handsome but uptight hero; the feisty and beautiful heroine – so much, so familiar. Anyone who reads romance knows at the start more or less how it’s going to end once the main characters have been introduced, but the pleasure in these books is seeing what sort of problems the aut [...]

Annie Seaton’s AFFAIR stories really are “Affairs to Remember”. First there was Holiday Affair which told the story of Nick and Lissy and introduced Nick’s exuberant Aussie Italian family. Now it’s brother Tomas’s turn. From Australia’s New South Wales coast, we head to Europe and the glories of the Amalfi Coast. Stuffy, stitched-up, list-making Tom has finally decided to make some changes in his life, the first being to fly to Lipari Island in the Tyrrehenian Sea off the Amalfi Co [...]

I was given an early review copy of this book in return for an honest review. As I'm about to take a long overdue trip to Italy myself, the frenetic pace at the beginning of this one - which begins in Australia, involves a stop over in Singapore and the ultimate destination of Italy was quite topical really(never mind the trip to Scotland)!Brianna, a Scot who is travelling whilst writing a book, first spots Tom an Aussie bursar who is taking some time out for himself - at the airport. Coincidenta [...]

It’s been a while since I last read an opposites attract book with characters so likeable like Brianna and Tom. Brianna is a free spirit, always forgetting things, loopy but with a heart of gold. Tom is her polar opposite, always making lists, punctual, and super appropriate – here’s a guy who flies from Australia to Italy wearing a suit on vacation. She needs a husband to get the cottage from the birth mother she’d never met, and he needs her to help him back away from a nagging aunt wh [...]

A lovely second outing in this series. Tom is adorable as the uptight bursar more comfortable with figures than emotions though he is certain that marriage is the right thing to do.Brianna, adopted at birth by a Scottish family is the very opposite, disorganised, a free spirit and totally opposed to tying herself down because families are messy. So the inheritance of a villa from her birth mother, which comes with the addition of a whole lot of family is bound to make her lose her balance. But wit [...]

Brianna isn't the type to settle down. She wouldn't even be considering marriage if it wasn't the only thing standing between her and her inheritance. Brianna has four days to find a husband or lose the only link she has to the mother she never knew. Tom doesn't know the first thing about spontaneity. He's spent his life playing by the rules, planning his every move, and he has decided it's time to cut lose. But his first impulsive move will change his life forever-- he offers to marry the beaut [...]

Ms Seaton has hit the spot again - the perfect holiday read. Whether it is on the beach in summer or curled up in front of a log fire her wonderful characters will dance off the page and draw you into their world. List driven Tom in his immaculate suit is the perfect foil for the feisty, disorganised sex-therapist Brianna and together they create an affair to remember that lives in your heart long after you reach the last page.

Annie Seaton hits the nail on the head of our hearts and loins with her newest release, "Italian Affair." Seaton creates characters who are likable, realistic, and humanly flawed, doing their best in life and love. For Tomas and Brianna love and trust does not come easily. Brianna yearns for a connection to her past. Tomas is running away from his. Will a stipulation in a will prove a blessing in disguise? Between the beautifully descriptive nod to scenic Italy and the hypnotizing waltz of relationship of convenience to the wings of love, The Italian Affair is a delight that is not to be missed.

Italian Affair was a great story. I really like the way Brianna and Thomas’s relationship developed, their interaction was relatable and created a well written romance. I am really enjoying this series and if you love a good romance I would suggest picking it up.

For this review and more visit my blogItalian Affair was a romance that delivered on sweetness but lacked a good dose of reality. Despite its cuteness the plot line of Italian Affair is unlikely to ever happen but that was fine, these types of romance are not supposed to be the most realistic of stories anyway and I still really enjoyed it.I really enjoyed the setting of this book. Annie Seaton bought this tiny Italian island to life for me and I thought the world building and descriptions were [...]

Italian Affair was cute! Brianna has been trying to locate her birth mother, only to be notified that she's recently deceased. Then she gets a letter from a lawyer in Italy saying that she has until the end of the month to claim her inheritance: a cottage. This is Brianna's chance to finally learn about her mother and her family, but there's one small problem. She only gets the cottage if she's married! Luckily, there's a handsome man in the seat next to her who happens to be traveling to the sa [...]

3.5 starsFirst I would like to say that Brianna loses her stuff, is a little messy and not even a bit organised. I didn't like that but some people can help it. She and Tom are opposites when they first met. He has his list of things to do when he is on vacation. She doesn't even book a hotel. This is your book if you like marriages that happen because both parts will earn something and not because they are in love but with time become real. It's marriage of convenience romance novel. I fell asle [...]

The cover for this book is a perfect representation of the story and the characters. Brianna is a cutie with a Scottish accent that prattles on when she is nervous, but she is also very sexy. And, Tomas is an Alpha male with a polished style (I.E suits and manicured nails). At first you think he is all business, but as the story progresses you see another side of him that is easy to fall in love with. This was a very heartfelt story with just enough sexiness to give it a high rating on the HOT m [...]

Another fantastic 'Affair' story by the super talented Annie Seaton. I loved Holiday Affair and loved Italian Affair even more! Sex therapist Brianna has the small matter of finding a husband so that she can inherit her birth mother's Italian villa. Cue finance guru, dishy Tom! Take a stuffy list maker, a sex therapist, a stipulation in a will and see what happens. Annie Seaton takes us on another journey which will leave you crying one minute and cheering the next. Her characters are so lovable one minute and frustrating the next. Truly full of life people you can relate too.Her ability to center you in the story is incredible and I for one adore the way she has wound each Affair book around a set member of the family.Keep writing Annie, your books are fabulous
