I read every detail of every page with my 9-year. It is an absolute fascinating geography book for kids (and adults!). He loved it and I can't wait to read it with my other two kids when they get older. Definitely worth buying.

Readers will be intrigued by the realistic illustrations in this text, as well as the nonfiction text features such as bold words, captions and maps that help convey the information in a well-organized way. Really liked this book. Every 2-page spread shows the continents and/or oceans and locations of specific things for that page. There are pages resources, for showing temperatures, rivers, even for locating the ocean's trash dumps of plastic. The maps are all different, drawn to reflect whatever it is they are showcasing. I got it to preview for some homeschooling. After reading through it, though, I think a lot of would be neat pictures for kids up to junior high. After that, they could understa [...]

I loved browsing through this book. I can't say I read every single word, but I did read something from every spread. Each two-page spread had something of interest. Sometimes I spent a lot of time and sometimes I breezed by, but there was so much to absorb. I would love it as a coffee table book to pick up and look at once in awhile. Actually, I think that is what I will do with it in my library - leave it out on the coffee table. It has wonderful visuals.

What a great, interesting reference guide. My kids (10 and 5), my husband and I all enjoyed different facts and figures in this book. While we didn't read every word, we all read the parts that were of interest to each of us.
