When it comes to Osprey's 'Elite' series, it's a bit like that box of chocolades of Forrest Gump - you never know what you're gonna get. In this particular case, you get a bit of a story about the background to the expedition, preparations and the actual campaign, a bit on units, uniforms and equipment of both sides and a bit of speculations about what could have happened if Spaniards actually managed to pull the thing off and land some troops on British soil.It does sound like a hopeless mess, [...]
