I liked this book enough to keep reading it though I wouldn't say its my favourite. Its twists and turns were unexpected which was nice but I found some of the characters quite depressing and a bit dull to be honest. I thought some of the bad language in it was a bit unnecessary and didn't add anything to the plot. Having said all that I enjoyed the descriptions of Wales and it made me want to go back and explore that area a bit more
Mary Fitzgerald is such a versatile writer and each of her books that I've read have been different. This is a modern novel set in Wales with a good strong heroine; it's not a run of the mill romance, plenty of surprises and characters that you keep thinking about after you've finished the book.
